The PCR machine is an instrument that uses the principle of pcr technology to replicate and amplify DNA. Using a PCR machine to perform experimental operations in certain steps, a gene can be replicated hundreds of billions of times its original size.

Precautions for PCR experiment operation:

1. Wear disposable gloves. If the reaction solution is accidentally splashed, replace the gloves immediately;

2. Use disposable tips. It is strictly forbidden to mix them with the tips in the PCR product analysis room. Do not expose the tips to the air for a long time to avoid aerosol pollution;

3. Avoid splashing the reaction solution. If it accidentally splashes on the gloves or the table, replace the gloves immediately and wipe the table with dilute acid;

4. When operating multiple samples, prepare the reaction mixture, combine it first and then dispense it, so as to reduce operations, avoid pollution, and increase reaction  accuracy;

5. Finally, add the reaction template, and then cap the reaction tube tightly;

6. Set up negative and positive controls and blank controls during operation, which can verify the reliability of the PCR reaction and assist in judging the reliability of the amplification system;

7. Use replaceable or high-pressure injectors as much as possible. If there is no such special injector, at least the injector should be dedicated during the PCR operation and cannot be cross-used;

8. Repeat the experiment, verify the results, and draw conclusions.

According to the purpose of DNA amplification and detection standards, PCR systems can be divided into four types: ordinary PCR system, gradient PCR system, in-situ PCR system, and real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR system.
